November is Mouth Cancer Action Month
In the UK Mouth Cancer causes one death every 4 hours!
During November you can have a free mouth cancer check with us ? if you would like to make a donation to Mouth Cancer Action, this would be gratefully accepted.
The mouth cancer check is pain free and will involve a soft tissue check as well as discussing any concerns you may have such as mouth ulcers that haven?t healed within three weeks, red or white patches or other unusual lumps or swellings in their mouth.
A mouth cancer check is to look for mouth cancer only and does not replace a normal dental check-up.
During November we will be raising awareness by wearing blue lips!
Mouth cancer does not just affect the older generation we are now seeing an increase in younger people being diagnosed. Around three in four cases are linked to tobacco and alcohol.? The human papillomavirus (HPV), transmitted via oral sex, and poor diets are also linked to mouth cancer.
