‘Movember’ 2011

One of our partners- Dr Andy Carter, persuaded us to grow facial hair for the month of November.  Geoff Readshaw and Howard Hunter also entered into enthusiastic topiary of their whiskers. Thank you to all of our patients who gave support and donations.  The whole thing is to raise awareness of mens health issues -particularly prostate cancer. Andy said today- ‘Next year we’ll do it properly and raise some serious money!’  Tonight however razors will be out- creating nice smooth faces for Christmas…

New dentist joins Ivory Dental Care

We are delighted to welcome Scott Singleton as the newest addition to our growing team. Scott has recently gained the qualification of BDS from UCLAN this year and he also has a degree in forensic science. He is very excited about his new career in dentistry and we already have a list of patients who are waiting to register with him! Scott plans to start in August 2011.

Ivory Dental approved as a training practice!

Geoff has just heard that he has been selected as a Vocational Trainer for 2011/12. We will now be able to welcome a newly qualified dentist in August to begin their professional working life with us. This is very exciting news and Geoff would like to thank all the staff who have worked so hard to help us meet the stringent requirements.

New Private Patients

Mr Geoff Readshaw is currently accepting new private patients who require dental implants.
Once the new practice opens in the autumn we will then have available places for new private patients.

New Treatments

Mr Geoff Readshaw and Mr Andrew Carter will be offering the Zoom whitening system from the autumn when the new practice opens. Zoom is a tooth whitening system which can be carried out in 1 hour in the surgery and an additional 4 hours at home -1 hour each day using specially made trays. We are sure that for many of our patients this will be the preferred option over our current system which takes up to 40 hours.
