Matthew graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Birmingham in 2012, and upon completion of his degree he moved back to his hometown of Blackpool. Following qualification, he spent five years working at a local family run practice, where he had the pleasure of helping patients improve their smiles and confidence.
Matthew has been fortunate to receive recognition from the British Endodontic Society for his work in Endodontics, gaining the Tom Pitt Ford Prize in 2012. He was also accredited with awards in Paediatric and Restorative Dentistry from the University of Birmingham. In 2014, he gained a Diploma of Membership from the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Matthew is currently undertaking a two year master’s degree in prosthodontics.
Matthew is a Certified Invisalign Provider for the North West of England and provides a full range of treatment options to his patients. He has enjoyed fantastic results with this simple and discreet alternative to braces and loves seeing the confidence that this non-invasive treatment can bring.
In 2017 Matthew qualified as a facial aesthetics practitioner and provides a range of Botox and Dermal fillers to patients.
Matthew’s favourite part of his job is the daily interaction he has with patients and getting to know people on a personal level. He likes to help people feel relaxed and at ease during their dental treatment and understands how daunting visiting the dentist can be. Matthew is also qualified to treat people using conscious sedation.
He is a keen supporter of Bolton Wanderers Football Club and despite the glory days being well and truly over, he enjoys going down to watch the odd game at the Macron. Matthew keeps fit and active outside of work by attending the gym regularly. Matthew got married in August 2017 and lives in Poulton Le Fylde with his wife Caroline and their son James.
