I graduated from the University of Leeds in 2012 and joined Ivory Dental. After a year and in order to enhance my patient care at Ivory Dental Care and improve my surgical skills, medical knowledge and communication I left to take on a very challenging yet exciting hospital environment in Manchester, where I gained vast experience in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. I was working as part of a big team treating patients referred into the hospital as well as emergency patients. This involved diagnosing and treating more complex conditions of the mouth as well as facial trauma and assisting with serious oral cancer cases. I was extremely excited to return to Ivory Dental Care in 2014.
I understand and particularly enjoy helping patients who are anxious regarding dental treatment. I have many interests within the dental field and am now aspiring to further my training in restorative and implant dentistry, as well as sedation in the next few years. I have recently completed training in facial aesthetics which means I can provide Botox and Dermal fillers to my patients. I have completed a 12 month training programme in dental implantology and have been accepted by the Royal College of Surgeons for the MFDS RCS (Edin) qualification.
Growing up I would have loved to be a dancer. However, my two left feet stopped my dream from ever becoming reality. Luckily, I don’t have two left hands and look forward to interacting with patients; working together and helping them achieve their goals and a healthy, happy smile!
In my spare time I like to travel and I recently took the opportunity to visit Cambodia where I carried out voluntary dental work in schools, prisons and unbearable conditions. It was an eye opener! I look forward to taking similar opportunities in the near future.
